The problem: a call where nobody really understands
On the phone you can't point, gesture or hand over your screen. An interpreter has to be booked days ahead; a regular translation app makes you speak, wait, read, then answer. The conversation stops after every sentence, and numbers get lost.
How it works, in three steps

You create the call
In the Déblo Duo app or on deblo.ai/duo, pick your language and the other person’s. A PIN code and an expiry are optional.

You send the link
A short link such as deblo.ai/duo/k7m4qx, over WhatsApp, email or any messaging app. The other person opens it in their browser: no install, no account, nothing to pay.

You speak, they hear their language
Each of you hears only the translation of the other. It starts before the sentence ends and finishes on average less than three seconds after. Every sentence is also shown in writing, in both languages.
A real-world example
A buyer in Lyon calls her manufacturer in Shenzhen to renegotiate a deadline. She speaks French, he hears Chinese; he answers in Chinese, she hears French. "4,000 units delivered on March 15" also appears in writing on both sides: the figure does not rest on the ear alone.
Frequently asked questions
Does Déblo Duo translate my regular phone calls?
No. The call goes through Déblo, not through your carrier's network: you open it in the app or on deblo.ai/duo, and the other person joins with the link you send. That is what lets each of you hear the translation, and only the translation.
Does the other person need to install an app?
No. They open the link in the browser of their phone or computer, pick their language and join. No account, nothing to pay.
Which languages are available?
English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Turkish and Hindi, in every combination. Other languages open one by one, once they have been tested on real voices.
Who can join my call?
Only the person who has the link. It works once: after it has been opened, nobody else can get in. You can add a 4 to 6 digit PIN and choose an expiry of one hour, 24 hours or 7 days.
